The 3rd International Workshop on
Knowledge Management in
Ambient Intelligent Systems (KnowMAIS-24)
Present and Future of Knowledge Management Technologies

Call for Papers

Ambient Intelligence (AmI) concepts are related to smart environments, ubiquitous computing, or pervasive computing. AmI is primarily based on the integration of information and communication technologies (ICT) into the environment through ubiquitous or pervasive computing. Ubiquitous systems provide a computing environment where a large number of computing resources are present almost everywhere in the environment to provide services to users seamlessly. In Ambient Intelligent Systems the role of knowledge management is to facilitate individual and well as group objects within a specific domain. Knowledge Management concepts focus on generating, capturing, integrating, transforming, storing, and retrieving object’s related information along with the focus on data mining and expert knowledge acquisition. Whereas for objects collaboration, the data must be reliable, synchronized, and consistent along with the well-defined strategy for the delivery and the presentation of shared data. Another important aspect in objects collaboration is to facilitate the process of learning and reasoning of information in situations where the data is incomplete. You are invited to submit your original unpublished work to the Workshop on Knowledge Management in Ambient Intelligent Systems (KnowMAIS-24). The workshop will take place in conjunction with the 15th International Conference on Ambient Systems, Networks and Technologies (ANT 2024) April 23-25, 2024, Hasselt, Belgium.
The Workshop consists of the following major tracks covering all aspects of knowledge management:

  • Knowledge based intelligent systems in industry 4.0
  • Ontology-based knowledge management for ambient intelligent systems.
  • Knowledge based Ambient Intelligent Decision Support Systems
  • Knowledge acquisition, representation, and reasoning for intelligent environments.
  • Internet of Things (IoT) and knowledge management.
  • Knowledge sharing among smart objects.
  • Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery in smart environments.
  • Secure and distributed knowledge management in pervasive environments.
  • Knowledge Management in Self-Organizing Systems.
  • Healthcare knowledge management.
  • Artificial intelligence techniques for knowledge management.

Researchers and practitioners with interest in any of the above-stated tracks are invited to submit their original unpublished work. Submitted papers will go through an intensive peer-review process on the criteria of originality and relevance of work.
