Call for Chapter Proposals
Recent Advancements in Smart Remote Patient Monitoring, Wearable Devices, and Diagnostics Systems
CALL FOR PAPERS
Different Healthcare technologies are around since decades. These technologies are continuously evolving and changing the way medicine would be practiced in the future. These technologies would allow medical practice from anywhere, any time and from any device. These technologies are mainly concerned with the resources, devices, and methods required to optimize the acquisition, storage, retrieval, processing and use of information in health. It also combines the problem-solving skills of computer scientists with health care professionals.
Healthcare IoT devices are an essential part of the modern healthcare system. Particularly, wearable IoT devices offer several new opportunities for healthcare professionals to monitor patients, as well as for patients to monitor themselves. When an IoT device collects patient data, it forwards the data to a software application where healthcare professionals or patients can view it. So, health information management is an important aspect in healthcare systems. It is a continuous mechanism for the collection, processing, analysis, and transmission of data into information and finally the transformation of information into intelligence on which Intelligent Healthcare Information Systems are based. Similarly, Clinical decision support systems which are computer-based programs can also use this information to provide prompts and reminders to assist health care providers in implementing clinical guidelines at the point of care. However, the continuous production of data is becoming unmanageable with currently available technologies. Therefore, in-order to meet this challenge, the adoption of cloud computing in healthcare is one of the best solutions which goes far beyond just storing data on cloud architecture.
The Workshop consists of the following major tracks covering all aspects of the healthcare:
1. Decision Support Systems in Healthcare
2. An Intelligent Healthcare Information Systems
3. Real-Time Healthcare Data Acquisition and Visualization
4. Healthcare Data Analytics, Data Mining and Machine Learning
5. Internet of Things and Cloud Computing for Healthcare 4.0
6. Wearable Internet-of-Things Device for Healthcare
7. Smart Remote Patient Monitoring and Diagnosis Systems
8. Information and Communication Technologies in Healthcare
9. Big Data Management in Healthcare
10. Healthcare Data Sharing and Interoperability
11. Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare.
Researchers and practitioners with interest in any of the above-stated tracks are invited to submit their original unpublished work. Submitted papers will go through an intensive peer-review process on the criteria of originality and relevance of work.
